Northeast Computer Services Corp. Acquires Support Vendor CMS

Northeast Computer Services Corp. (NECS), an IT consulting and support company located in the Hudson Valley Region of New York, has acquired Computer Managed Services (CMS), an IT technology vendor supporting data infrastructure for Small- to Medium-Sized Businesses (SMB) in Dutchess and Ulster counties of New York State.

James Jeffreys, President & CEO of Northeast Computer stated, “The acquisition of CMS will enable NECS to extend our professional IT management, proprietary secure email solution, automation, virtualization and remote storage services to those growing fields.”

With the acquisition, NECS will expand its support offerings and increase its presence in the growing fields of healthcare consulting, finance investigation and taxation management.

Thomas Brewer, President of CMS described the acquisition this way, “Our successful relationship with Northeast Computer allowed our company to expand services to our diverse client base; this acquisition completes the process and will allow our clients to enjoy the full range of their professional IT offerings.”

The companies did not disclose the terms of the deal for CMS, a privately held vendor based in Poughkeepsie, New York.

Also on Monday, NECS announced an expanded business and technology partnership with ESET, a software company that develops security solutions that deliver instant, comprehensive protection against evolving computer security threats.
